Jana Young, Style Assistant and Client Support
Jana Young has been interested in fashion ever since she was little–sketching dresses and sewing bags for her friends and family. Her love for fashion led her to an internship with Annie Griffin of the Annie Griffin Collection, and she soon there after started studying Fabric Design at the University of Georgia. Jana had the opportunity to spend the summer in NYC interning for established designer Carolina Herrera. Jana also interned for a semester at Hable Construction, a design Hub in Athens Georgia. After graduation, Jana joined Kit and Ace, a technical cashmere collection based in Vancouver, where she helped launch the first store in Atlanta.
Jana had the experience of hearing Amy Nelson and the Style Design Team speak in a seminar at UGA in 2015. Jana’s education in fabric design has molded her taste in editing her own wardrobe. She believes that you have to dress for your body type and getting into the fitting room before adding it to your closet. She supports that fashion is one of the best expressions of art- that’s constantly being challenged to be original. With these explorations, we are given more options to style ourselves in a way that best represents our personalities. Jana joined the Style Design Team in February of 2016 as a Style Assistant.
Jana Young is an Atlanta native. She went to the Lovett School and attended the University of Georgia where she graduated in 2015 with a BFA in Fabric Design. She enjoys painting, Rock and Roll, Pilates and being with friends and family.
